Custom banners that stay up in Florida wind

From a small vinyl birthday banner to event scrim for a stadium. Storefront, school, event, apartment leasing and job-site banners in vinyl, wind-through mesh, jersey or sewn fabric. Printed and finished in Tampa by people who know what a summer storm does to a banner.

Custom street-pole banners along a Tampa boulevard

A banner is the cheapest large sign you can buy and the one most likely to be shredded by August. The difference is material, finishing and hanging. Forty years of flying fabric outdoors in Tampa taught us what lasts, and we build every banner that way.

Vinyl banners

Full-color digital print on heavyweight scrim vinyl, hemmed on all sides with grommets every two feet, or pole pockets if you prefer. Any size from a 2×4 door banner to a 4×30 building banner. We add wind slits on request, and we recommend them on anything larger than 3×8 that hangs in the open.

Mesh banners

Mesh lets most of the wind through, which is why it is the only material we put on a fence or a scaffold. Print quality is nearly as sharp as solid vinyl from a few feet away. This is the material for construction fence scrim, ballfield fence signs and building wraps.

Mesh polyester jersey

A light, breathable knit that prints in full color and hangs without the stiffness of vinyl. It is the material for events at sporting arenas and stadiums: concourse and rail banners, backdrops, court and rinkside hangs, and anything that has to go up fast and come down after the game.

Fabric and sewn banners

For downtown street-pole banners, school gyms, church sanctuaries, trade-show backdrops and anything that hangs where people can touch it, sewn fabric looks better and lasts longer. Printed or appliquéd, with pole pockets top and bottom.

Common questions about custom banners

How much does a custom banner cost?
Size, material and finishing set the price, so a 2 by 4 foot door banner and a 4 by 30 foot building banner are different orders. Mesh, sewn fabric and double-sided work cost more than a single-sided 13 oz vinyl banner of the same size, and the price per banner drops when you order several. Send the size, what it says and where it will hang and we will quote it. Request a banner quote.
How long does it take to get a banner made?
Most vinyl banners are ready within the week. Mesh and sewn banners take a little longer. Rush is sometimes available, and we tell you before you order whether your date is realistic. Banners ship anywhere, or you can pick up at the shop on Henderson Blvd.
What sizes and materials do you print banners in?
Any size from a 2 by 4 foot door banner to a 4 by 30 foot building banner. Materials are 13 oz vinyl for storefronts and events, mesh vinyl for fences and scaffolding, mesh polyester jersey for arenas and indoor backdrops, sewn nylon or polyester for street poles and anything that should look like a flag, and window perf for glass. Standard finishing is hemmed on all sides with grommets every two feet, or pole pockets if you prefer.
Will a vinyl banner hold up in Florida wind?
In an exposed spot a solid vinyl banner needs wind slits or a firm frame, and we recommend slits on anything larger than 3 by 8 feet that hangs in the open. On a fence or a scaffold we will not use solid vinyl at all, because it acts as a sail. Mesh lets most of the air through and stays put. Tell us where the banner is going and we will tell you which material that spot needs.
What kind of artwork do you need?
A vector logo is best, but we can work from what you have. Send the size, the wording and the date you need it, and the artwork can follow the rest if it is not ready yet. We will tell you if a file is too small to print well at the size you want.
Does the banner come ready to hang?
Yes. Rope, bungee ties, zip ties and grommet hardware are included if you want them, and we will tell you if a spot needs mesh instead of solid vinyl. Most customers hang their own, and the grommet spacing is set up for that.
