Construction fence scrim and mesh fence banners

Turn a chain-link fence into a billboard for the general contractor, the developer and the lender. Printed mesh scrim that lets wind through, with the grommets and ties to keep it tight.

Head's Flags printed wall graphic on the shop

Every job site in Tampa has a fence. Most of them are wrapped in plain green screen. A printed fence wrap costs little more, hides the site just as well, and puts the builder's name in front of every car that passes for the life of the project.

What fence scrim is

Fence scrim is a knitted or woven mesh, usually 6 or 8 feet tall, printed with your graphics and finished with a reinforced hem and grommets every 12 inches. It attaches to chain-link with zip ties or bungee ties. The open weave lets 30 to 40 percent of the wind through, which is what keeps the fence from blowing over.

Options

  • Full-color printed mesh for logos, renderings and "Coming Soon" messaging
  • Privacy scrim with a logo repeated on a solid color
  • Windscreen for ballfields, tennis courts and pool fences, with or without printing
  • Panels or continuous rolls to suit the fence length; standard 6 ft and 8 ft heights
  • Hemmed edges, grommets every 12 inches, ties supplied
  • Shipped to the site or ready for pickup at the shop

Who uses it

General contractors, developers and homebuilders on new communities, apartment and hotel projects, hospital expansions and road work. Schools and parks departments for ballfield windscreens and sponsor signage. Event organizers for festival perimeters and Gasparilla staging areas.

Florida wind and fence scrim

Solid vinyl on a fence is a sail. Mesh is the correct material, and heavier mesh with a stronger hem is worth it on exposed sites and for projects that run through summer. When a storm is named, scrim should come down like everything else; grommets every foot make that a quick job, and it goes back up the same way.

Artwork

Send a logo (vector preferred), the rendering or message, and the fence height and length. We lay out the panels so seams fall between graphics and send a proof before printing.

Also for job sites

Vinyl banners for the trailer and the sales office, feather flags for the entrance, and flagpoles for the finished building.

Job sites we print for

Fence scrim goes up on construction sites across Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk and Manatee counties: apartment and hotel builds in Tampa and St. Petersburg, new communities in Riverview, Wesley Chapel and Lakeland, road and hospital work in Brandon and Clearwater, and commercial projects down through Bradenton and Sarasota.

Scrim is made to your fence run and shipped to the site, or collected at the shop. On a large enough job we will bring it out ourselves. See the service areas.

Common questions about fence scrim

How much does printed fence scrim cost?
We quote fence scrim per linear foot, so fence height and total run are the two numbers that set the price. Mesh weight, full-color printing across the whole run versus a logo repeated on a solid color, and how the run is split into panels all move it as well. Contractor and developer pricing is available. Send the fence height, total length and the site address for a written quote.
What sizes does fence scrim come in?
Standard heights are 6 and 8 feet, which covers most chain-link on a job site. We make it in panels or continuous rolls to suit the length of your fence. Every piece has a reinforced hem and grommets every 12 inches, and the ties are supplied.
Will fence scrim blow my fence over in a storm?
Solid vinyl on a fence is a sail. Scrim is an open mesh that lets 30 to 40 percent of the wind through, which is what keeps the fence from going over, and heavier mesh with a stronger hem is worth it on exposed sites and projects that run through the summer. When a storm is named, scrim should come down like everything else. Grommets every foot make that a quick job, and it goes back up the same way.
Do you put the scrim up on the fence?
No. Scrim is made to your fence run and supplied with hemmed edges, grommets every 12 inches and the ties, and it attaches to chain-link with zip ties or bungee ties. That is work for the crew already on site.
What artwork do you need for a fence wrap?
Send a logo, vector preferred, along with the rendering or message and the fence height and length. We lay out the panels so the seams fall between graphics rather than through a logo, and we send a proof before anything is printed.
